Altar Guild is a ministry that prepares and maintains the sacred vessels for worship, and oversee the paraments and banners to match liturgical seasons.
Key responsibilities of the Altar Guild include:
- Communion Preparation: Preparing the altar for services including setting out elements (bread & wine/juice), cleaning silver trays, and handling linens.
- Paraments and Linens: Changing altar cloths, lectern hangings, and banners based on the church calendar.
- Seasonal Duties: Preparing for special services like Ash Wednesday, Easter, and Christmas.
